my recent inspirations

hey, just a little update on the recent music I have been listening to and what I have been up to:

recently, I have been listening to a lot of music, from the moment I wake up to the moment i go to sleep. I find music very therapeutic, listening to it and writing it! the songs I have been listening to religiously recently are:

Alien Blues - Vundabar, personally I think that this song is genius, it makes you really think and its really its got a really interesting style that is addictive to listen to.

Puppy Princess - Hot freaks, this song gives pure serotonin, its such a feel good song that even though it was published in 2013, it sounds like it should have been made in the 80s. It makes me feel very motivated.

The Red Means I Love You - Madds Buckley, this song, despite being very odd and quite creepy, it is quite addictive to listen to as it is about how when the protagonist hurts someone she believes that their blood, because its red, means its love and she hurts this person because she loves them, which is quite twisted but a very interesting song.

My Alcoholic Friends - The Dresden Dolls, the song is about how the singer is trying to rationalise drinking and being drunk often. she does this because it makes helps her and her friends block out "less than ideal realities of everyday life".

Fat Funny Friend - Maddie Zahm, this song is what i would call a bit of a "kick in the arse" song. it explains the harsh reality of being overweight and how things that are normal to most, seem shocking when overweight people do it. For example she sings a line that says "And I have to be nice Or I’ll be the next punch line", by singing this lyric she means if all her friends are having a laugh and she pipes in, they`ll make her weight the next joke to put her down.

I Say Little Prayer - Aretha Franklin, this song is just a pure feel good song, it makes you feel happy and more positive. overall i believe that al lot of old songs, especially Motown, makes you feel good and more comforted by them i know i am especially comforted by old songs, they make you feel carefree.

They are the songs i have been listening to the past week or so, a mix of genre as my music taste is generally quite diverse.

 thank you for reading :)
